On April 20th 2006, supporters of the Saskatchewan Marijuana Party handed a petition to Saskatchewan's Chief Electoral Officer, Jean Ouellet in order to register the SKMP. To celebrate this moment just one year ago, the Saskatchewan Marijuana Party will be holding a "Better late Than Never" 4:20 birthday party event. Nathan Holowaty is campaiging hard on the final day of the Martensville By-Election. Equipped with only the latest in sign mounting technology. (Some call it packing tape) Nathan and a portion of his election volunteer staff have been traversing the riding today in an effort to get out the vote as much as is possible.
If you see Nathan riding about today, don't be afraid to wave or shout in support of the SKMP. Remember, a vote for Holowaty is a vote for freedom, justice, democracy andthe Canadian way!

MARCH 5TH IS VOTING DAY
The HOLOWATY campaign would like to remind everyone in the Martensville riding (Martensville, Waldheim, Dalmeny, Hague, Warman and surrounding areas) to get out and vote on Monday, March 5th.
Despite efforts of co-operation between the SKMP, Liberals, Green Party and the WID, no all candidates meetings will be held in the Martensville riding that the SKMP is aware of. Though this is fairly disconcerting, the HOLOWATY campaign remains fully available to the people of Martensville. If you would like to contact us, you can always phone Ethan Erkiletian, campaign manager at (306) 260-2952 or email

Sask. Marijuana Party First to Register in By-Election
Feb 06, 2021: For Immediate Release
The Saskatchewan Marijuana Party today was the first registered provincial political party to register its candidate (Party leader Nathan Holowaty) in the Martensville by-election announced February 5th by Elections Saskatchewan. Not only is the SKMP fielding the first candidate in the Martensville by-election beating all the other parties to the punch, the SKMP is fielding the first marijuana party candidate Saskatchewan has ever seen either federally or provincially.
“It’s a pleasure to be in a position which will enable us to ensure that other parties and the people of Saskatchewan consider the important issue of cannabis prohibition in our province” Said Holowaty. “We are enthusiastic and excited. We can’t wait to see what happens over the next month.”
The Saskatchewan Marijuana Party is a registered provincial political party comprised of those who are supportive of marijuana legal reform and, the protection of those naturally acquired civil liberties afforded to every Canadian citizen through the charter of rights and freedoms and by extension, every resident of Saskatchewan.
